Of course while shopping, I came across this week’s shoe of the moment and fell for fall/winter’s latest trend, the over the knee boot by Jeffery Campbell which can be purchased online or in store at Browns Shoes.

Shoe specifications:

• Material, synthetic
• Sole, rubber
• Heel height, 80mm
• Black leather 

Why I chose this boots: the strap detail wrapping around the ankle travelling up to the knee gives this boot a dramatic and edgy rocker feel. The height of the heel is perfect – not too low, not too high, it’s just right and they look really good on.

To celebrate my love for shoes I’ve decided to create a weekly blog post that will be published every Friday dedicated to beautiful footwear called Shoe of the moment. I was inspired by this idea after drooling over a pair of Christian Louboutin platform pumps last Monday under the post Can’t get these shoes off my mind. What else can brighten up the beginning of the weekend by purchasing (or fantasizing about) footwear which will garner the attention of family, friends and passersby? I’ll make sure to include a mix of different styles: high heels, mid-heels, flats, women’s shoes, men’s shoes and even sneakers (gasp)!

This week’s shoe of the moment are a pair of red suede platform pumps by Stuart Weitzman that can be purchased online at Browns Shoes or in their retail stores.

Shoe specifications:

• Dark red suede with a hidden platform and peep toe with rose detail
• Heel height, 90mm (3.54 inch)
• Leather lining and sole
• Padded insole

Why I chose this shoe: with the end of summer and cold weather now upon us we can’t ignore the need to transition ourselves and our wardrobes into the fall season. The material used for this shoe, dark red suede is the classic autumn colour and material signifying richness, texture and classic style.
