Hope I didn’t take you by surprise with the title of this blog entry. Yes, I’ve just started a Facebook page for The Souls of My Shoes – believe it or not. I’ll let the slight disbelief you feel settling for a few moments...

One of the reasons why I waited so long to create the page was partly is due to seeing the number of Likes I would get and how some, mostly I, would equate that with success or lack thereof. Math was one of my least favourite subjects in school. I remember working my ass off and the pressure I felt to pull high grades that my friends seemed to effortlessly achieve and despite my hard fought efforts fail miserably. Numbers are one of very few things which can make me turn tail and walk the other way.

This blog turns three years old this summer and as I approach that date my mind has been occupied with developing new topics to write about, how to better keep you engaged and how to increase readership – numbers again, ugh!

So I’ve created a Facebook page for The Souls of My Shoes to take that big leap in order to make this a better blog and to deal with my issue of seeing numbers in plain view.
