It may be a tad early to think about what shoes you’re going to wear come spring. Heck, first we have to survive it through the winter! However, one thing remains true for all die-hard shoeaholics and that is it’s never too early to get a jump start on shoe shopping; and with ALDO RISE’s new designer collaboration for spring 2015 to look forward to, getting through snow and ice storms doesn’t seem so bad after all.
Announced and revealed during the spring 2015 shows at New York Fashion Week, ALDO RISE has collaborated with MISHA NONOO on a footwear and handbags collection. This is the first time ALDO RISE and MISHA NONOO have come together bringing the U.S. based-label into an exclusive club of upcoming designers.
If you’re not familiar with the MISHA NONOO, it was founded by Bahrain-London native Misha Nonoo who debut her namesake women’s wear collection in fall 2011 and was lauded for her great tailoring of separates that is modern, oozes urban sophistication and femininity. It also helps that Nonoo has a created loyal celebrity following; Gwyneth Paltrow and Sarah Jessica Parker are just a few A-list names who have donned her wares.
For spring 2015, Nonoo was inspired by glass artwork of Dustin Yellin and used this to create colourful and artful clothes seen in abstract separates, playful onesies and wide-legged trousers. But here’s the best part… the shoes! The footwear collection consists of 10 styles in three-silhouettes that are surprisingly simple but nonetheless covet-worthy that can be worn to the office or if you’re going to paint the town red. And you’ll be surprised to read that out of the shoes I’m really digging the pointed flats, particularly the blue. I can’t wait for spring to get here.
