Coming off the high of the February release of PETER PILOTTO for Target collection is another major designer collaboration from Target that will make you to whip out your credit card faster than a speeding bullet. As the winner of the 2013 Toronto Fashion Incubator’s New Labels competition, Canadian designer Sarah Stevenson was awarded the coveted opportunity to design a capsule collection for the U.S. retailer.
Consisting of 15 pieces from dresses to blouses, the Sarah Stevenson for Target Collection is a floral fashion feast easy on the eyes and pocket book ranging in price from $24.99 – $59.99. Stand-out pieces from the collection, and my personal favourites, are an ombre watercolour blazer ($49.99) with matching pant ($29.99) and a white blouse with printed placket and collar ($39.99).
Reviews from Toronto’s fashion insiders are giving Stevenson’s efforts two thumbs up acclaiming the sophistication and design of the clothes, but also for its fair fabric quality; a characteristic not normally inherent with lower priced designer collections.
Make sure to set your fashion alarms to get up bright and early on March 23rd, when Stevenson’s collection appears in Target stores. In the meantime, here are few images from the collection’s lookbook that will make your style senses tingle.
