LINE Knitwear fall/winter 2012 collection

Another fashion week first for me, besides this, was receiving an invitation to attend LINE Knitwear’s fall/winter 2012 runway show during Toronto Fashion Week. I’ve only ever seen their wares on hangers and in stores, and having the opportunity to see this much talked about Canadian success story live and in living colour was highly anticipated. Below are a few select images of LINE’s latest collection.

Design inspiration: LINE Knitwear’s designers, John Muscat and Jennifer Wells dubbed their latest collection, “RUSTIC REMIX” which describes their idea of a girl “living in a future time, shielding herself from the elements with protective luxury. For fall we are offering her authentic artisanal pieces and textured knits reminiscent of rustic terrains…”

What I liked: large oversized knits with patterns, texture, volume and warmth is how I would describe LINE’s fall/winter 2012 collection. The artisanal look and feel of the garments smoothly transition in cut and colour from the beginning to end of the show; the opening pieces are black and white knits which then move into warmer hues of brown, grey and orange. My favourite pieces from the collection are a black gradation merino coat and a black/amethyst suede and merino wool crochet dress – to die for!

What I disliked: absolutely nothing!

Footwear: black leather ankle boots and suede pumps.

  1. Leather ankle boots says:

Nothing is so attractive in this photo and also taken from wrong angle as it seems that cameraman is not ready for it.one thing i will say that designer has done good work
